Memebox #53 Wine & Cheese Cosmetics Unboxing

I love food. Therefore I am a sucker for food-themes, and that carries into Memeboxes. When the Wine & Cheese Cosmetics box was released it sat in my cart for a looong time while I battled my internal money demons. Lately I've been trying to cut back on sub box spending so I've been very selective about which Memeboxes to get. In the end those pesky demons won (mostly because I like to drink wine and eat cheese) and I was awaiting the arrival of my next food-not-food box.
What: Memebox is not a recurring subscription box. It's a one-time-purchase box filled with beauty products from Korea. There are several types of boxes: Memebox, Superbox, and Luckybox to name a few.
When: Lately new boxes have been coming out about once a week
Cost: $15 - $39, depending on the type of box + $6.99 shipping (from Korea). The Wine & Cheese Cosmetics box was $29+shipping and is now sold out.

The original ship date for this box was November 7th but it got pushed back to the 13th. Then it got pushed back again to the 19th because they were still waiting for one of the items to arrive at the warehouse. But of course the 19th came and went and still nothing. It finally ended up shipping out a couple days after that. I know a lot of people were irked about this but I didn't really mind because I was busy playing with my new feet goodies I got in the Foot Therapy box :)

Tonymoly I'm REAL Red Wine Sheet Mask (2 masks value: $2) - I haven't opened this yet, but if this sheet mask smells like wine and I have to put it on my face, it'll take every ounce of strength to resist seeing if it actually tastes like red wine. This mask is supposed to tighten pores and evens out your complexion.
INGREDIENTS: Water, Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, PEG/PPG-17/6 Copolymer, Panthenol, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil hlorphenesin Phenoxyethanol, Xanthan Gum, Phenyl Trimethicone Wine Extract, Carboer, 1,2-Hexanediol, Propanediol, Tromethamine, Camellia Japonica Flower Extract, Chrysanthellum Indicum Extract, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Melissa Offiinalis Leaf Extract, Rosmrinus Officinalis (Thyme) Flower/Leaf Extract, Jasminum Officinale (Jasmine) Flower Water, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Caprylyl Glycol, Illicium Verum (Anise) Fruit Extract, Allantoin, Disodium EDTA, Fragrance
LadyKin Mangchee Lifting Mask (50ml full size value: $43) - That's quite a hefty price tag for this little jar of wonders. This mask is supposed to be worn overnight for it to do its magic. It moisturizes skin with mango, cheese, and shea butter extracts. The antioxidants in this cream (vitamin E and tea leaf water) help in repairing skin and stimulating cellular turnover for an anti-aging effect. Witch hazel and allantonin help calm skin and reduce inflammation. I want to use this, but things with shea butter tend to be overkill for my skin and leaves it greasy. I really hope that's not the case with this mask. If anything I'll probably just wear it for a couple hours instead of overnight.

Innisfree Wine Peeling Jelly Softener (180ml full size value: $12) - This is the item that was holding up box shipments but I'm glad to finally have it because it smells just like red wine! It's infused with actual wine (Chateau Margaux) extracts that makes me want to lick my face (like I imagine would be the case with the sheet masks). This is used after your cleanser to peel and roll away any dead skin. I love peels. I have enough dead skin on my face and body for all the peels my little heart desires. This is a thick milky liquid (but thinner than typical gel peels) so you have to use more than you would a regular gel since it doesn't spread out as evenly. I do love the results I got though. Peeling skin plus sniffing wine throughout the whole process is a total win for me. And I have to mention the packaging. It's a mini wine bottle - how adorable is that??!

Enprani Dear Bounce Cheese Cream (75ml full size value: $35) - Memebox must really love this cream because this is the fourth box I've seen it in. But this is the first time I'm getting it and I've always wanted to try it so I'm happy :) Protein whey gives the cream a stretchy melted cheese-like texture that is a mess to work with but oh so FUN at the same time. I just took a swipe off the protective lid/seal and got it alllll over the place. Unfortunately, as much as I enjoyed making a melted cheesy mess, this was waaay too hydrating for my skin. It left my face oily throughout the whole day :( And when I say whole day I mean overnight all the way until I took a shower in the evening. I'd absolutely recommend this for dry skin types.
Ooey gooey bouncy cheesy fun

LadyKin Mangchee Replenishing Hand Cream (60ml full size value: $14) - This is pretty much the lotion version of the LadyKin Lifting Mask above. Adenosine helps to reduce wrinkles, and quark cheese extracts, Corchorus olitorius leaf ferment filtrate, mango extracts, and tea leaf water keep skin hydrated and resilient.

Blanc Doux Pinot Noir UV Shield & Tone-Up - for Sensitive Skin (40ml full size value: $36) - Whoa. I would not pay $36 for a sunscreen. But this one is not like other sunscreens. Okay I don't know exactly what's in it, but my trusty Memecard tells me that aside from providing UV protection, this sunscreen has Pinot Noir in here to replenish and brighten skin. I'm gonna say the same thing now that I've been saying throughout this post: I wanna slather this all over my face (and perhaps body) so I can smell like wine!!

The Wine & Cheese Cosmetics box was very interesting to say the least. Everything was jam packed into a smaller-than-normal box, but it had a $142 value! Nice, very nice. I'm glad everything had something to do with the theme so it wasn't a curation dud. I'm pretty sad that the bounce cream is too moisturizing for me though, and I really hope that's not the case with the LadyKin lifting mask too or else that'd decrease the box's value by half for me :( I'm loving the Innisfree wine peel so far and want to go out and buy red wine now so I can have my own little drunken Wine & Cheese facial.

  1. Ohh, you got your box!! Lucky girl! This one has had more problems than any box I've ever seen! At least you got the Innisfree product. Innisfree is having issues apparently (not just with Memebox but everyone) and I'm so happy you got the product in your box!
Looks like a lot of fun! I didn't care for the Bounce Cream Cheese either so you aren't the only one :)

    1. Aww that's too bad to hear :( I hope the Innisfree made it into everybody's box! This one really was lots of fun to play with. If the Wine &Cheese and Bubble Pop boxes ever have a champagne-themed baby I'm totally getting it.
